A Little About Me

To put it simply, I was born in Stockholm, Sweden and grew up in Southern Finland close to Helsinki. I moved to the United States at the age of 16 – Florida more specifically – and have been here since.

Work History

I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a B.F.A in Graphic Design and was fortunate enough to receive a chance to gain experience at a local newspaper; The Palm Beach Post. There, I quickly adapted myself to working under daily (sometimes even hourly) deadlines, and for a wide variety of sections all with very different aesthetics.

I then shifted to work at SwissMango where I dealt mostly in web designs and their visual integration to an in-house developed Content Management System, as well as various other creative tasks.

A few years later, I accepted a job at the Gehring Group, where I was responsible for over 40 clients’ promo material (including benefits booklets, open enrollment posters, eblasts, flyers, mailers, etc.) and wellness related collateral for a variety of events.

Then, an opportunity arose for me to join Convey Health Solutions in helping them relaunch their brand including a new design for their logo. I also advised and worked in tandem with an external marketing firm on the visual direction of the overall brand and oversaw the conversion of existing design collateral to follow new branding standards.

Currently I am freelancing full-time and working with multiple clients to refresh their branding and creating requested collateral for both web and print, while always keeping my eyes open for new possibilities.

My Design Philosophy

A simplified aesthetic has followed me throughout my whole life and therefore I’m a strong believer of ‘less is more’. However, I am constantly inspired – consciously and unconsciously – by the flux of ideas emerging from my environment and those are always at play in my creative process.

The most important thing I’ve learned during my time in the field is that it’s about designing something visually pleasing that’s right for the clients and their customer base. That will always be my number one priority.
